(1) I am trying to submit my site to your directory and getting a DATE/TIME error but Im in the UK and my time doe not match your server time in USA? ANS: You have not read it correctly! The time on the submission page DOES NOT Match the server time. Nothing to do with local times being the problem. This is one of many security measures to prevent some russian spammers caching a fake page and endlessly submitting sites to the directory. The error message tells you how can resolve the problem. Press (F5) refresh/reload the page of the server and not from your local browser cache, so the time stamp updates correctly. If in doubt go in to IE6 options and click delete FILEs to remove old cached files, then load our website back in to your browser. This error will come up if you have already accessed the site once within the last 7 days. afterall you are only allowed one FREE post, but can affect buyers as well that buy more then one ad and their browser caches the old page values. (2) Can I pay for a paid listing via another method? ANS: We may accept other methods, contact us. Note, you don't need to be a member of Paypal to pay us, as they accept credit cards without joining their service. USA members can also use eChecks which takes funds from your checking account. (3) Why are FREE listings limited to 30 days? ANS: Due to the costs of hosting and Databasing we had to place a limit. Also to ensure fresher content for users that search the Database. People using the FREE options submit stuff generally that expires sooner. (4) Why can I only submit 1 Ad per email address. ANS: Again because of the abuse of the system and costs. However this limit is lifted if you wish to pay for a listing. Paid members can submitted as many ADs as they can afford to place in the search database or special PAID categories that are available. (5) I didnt get my AD activation email what can I do? ANS: Sorry, you will have to wait for the submission to expire before can retry with the same email address. Alternatively, try again with another email address. Use the email checker link on the submission page before finally submitting details to ensure you can receive email correspondence from our system. (6) How can I check my AD is in the Search Database? ANS: Just enter a keyword or an exact phrase thats found in your site advert and do a search for it. If its listed you know for sure its live in the system. (7) Can I delete or edit my ADS? ANS: NO, there is no facility to do this currently. You will have to wait for the AD to automatically expire or place a NEW Ad. (8) Can I specify Keywords for my AD? ANS: NO, the system uses you description field for keyword descisions automatically. This ensures your AD can be found quickly and Simply. (9) Can I buy advertising? ANS: There are 3 paid section options available only. These guarantee a listing and reduce the need for email activations and other hassles. (10) Can I get a REFUND? ANS: Becuase of the nature of the system we currently do not offer refunds. No refunds are given to those who misuse the system (such as spamming,faking,porn listed wrongly) for obviously reasons. (11) Where is Weblistenz located? ANS: Support and website is managed from New Zealand. The server is hosted in USA. The Engine is global to all countries. Most of the visitors and submitters are USA based. The doamin name has ENZ on end. This is said N.Z. ; the country code for New Zealand to give it a KIWI flavor. Weblistenz means 2 things; Weblistings and Weblistens. (12) I forgot to cut and paste the special code to link to your site! Can you send it again? ANS: The code is generated uniquely for you based on your AD submission. however, we list below a generic CODE you can use and modify. You just need to change the keywords field to a phrase that was in your AD. e.g. replace unique keyword here between the ; and & characters. If you edit wrongly the linking won't work properly. Alternatively, when you submit a new AD (when old one expires) it will product the code for you again. |
